I took some of my friends to BC on vacation and while we were there we saved money by going to safeway and buying food there to cook at our resort instead of eating out, and we gassed up at shell for the whole drive, so we earned lots of extra airmiles, and we used my airmiles to stay a night in a hotel along the way for free, which was great. We stayed in Banff and it was a gorgeous hotel.
