What is a discussion forum?
Forums are a place for Collectors to have discussions on many topics related to the AIR MILES Reward Program. This is a great way for you to ask questions, share your experiences and get to know other AIR MILES Collectors.
How do I search the forums?
It's very easy to search the Community. Enter your search criteria into one of the two search tools located within the Community.
How do I post a new discussion?
We always welcome you to open a new discussion to share your experiences or ask fellow AIR MILES Collectors questions. To do this, visit the Forums section of the Community. Once in this section follow these simple steps:
- 1. Click on the Category most appropriate to your discussion topic.
- 2. Click on the Start a Discussion button.
- 3. Enter the title/subject of your discussion and enter your message.
- 4. Click Submit
Remember before you post your new discussion topic, make sure to take a quick glance at the other discussion topics to see if this has already been discussed.

To reply to a discussion thread, follow these simple steps:
- 1. Once on the discussion board you wish to participate, click the Post a Reply button near the top of the message list.
- 2. Enter your message.
- 3. Once satisfied with your post, click Submit. Please remember that your posting is available for all to see, so keep this in mind when submitting a new post.
To comment on a post:
- 1. Click the Reply w/ Quote link.
- 2. Enter your message.
- 3. Once satisfied with your post, click Submit. Please remember that your posting is available for all to see, so keep this in mind when submitting a new post.
- 4. Reply w/ Quote allows you to comment on a specific post/comment within the discussion. It differs from a regular post as it appears with the original comment and is not added to the bottom of the forum.
When you post a message as a reply, it will be added to the existing thread. It won't create a new thread.
What is a "thread"?
When one or more collectors reply to a specific message, a "thread" is created. A "thread" is a series of posts that all relate to one another and follow the same line of conversation.
Can I edit my post after I have submitted it?
Once you hit Submit your post becomes live in the discussion. Once the post is live you are unable to make any updates. So make sure you double check your message before it is submitted.
How can I share discussions with my friends?
It's easy to share discussion posts with your friends. Click on the Share this button located under each post, fill out the Share this with a Friend pop up, hit send and your friend will receive an email from you with a link to the discussion!
How can I tell if there is a new post?
Keep up-to-date on the Community by reading the latest discussions. To view the new discussions, check for the New arrow found beside all new discussions.
Can I save a discussion?
Yes! If you come across a discussion that you would like to save, simply hit the Save this Discussion button located in the Discussion Stats side bar. To find your saved discussions, look for the 'saved discussions' link in your profile box on every page.
What is a sticky note?
A sticky note is used by Community managers and Moderators to post an important message or discussion topic in the forum. The sticky note will make sure the posting stays at the top of the discussion so it is easy for all members to view.
Can I rate a discussion or memory gallery?
Yes! If you really enjoy someone's discussion post or memory gallery, you can use the I like this! button to give it a thumbs up.
