All life on our planet owes its existence to the good, clean, and ecologically essential gas of air, which is also dissolved in water called... carbon dioxide, or CO2. CO2 is not a pollutant at all, but a scarce substance which plants everywhere -- in ocean waters, in lakes, ponds and rivers -- must absorb in order to live, produce oxygen gas for us all, reproduce themselves, grow, and even make excess biomass through their growth so that the herbivores, and all other animal life including human beings can live. Thus, all life, in oceans too, is possible only because of good, clean, SCARCE, and ecologically essential CO2.
